Welcome to Chinatown Alleyway Tours!
Our non-profit, youth-run, youth-led program Chinatown Alleyway Tours (CATs) is now offering virtual tours due to the pandemic. Please refer to our "Virtual Tours" tab for more information about our upcoming tours. Our in-person tours are by reservation only until further notice due to the current health crisis. We apologize for any inconvenience.
On our tours, we will take you off the main streets and into the alleyways to learn about the daily life, rich history, and modern-day issues of San Francisco’s Chinatown. We will take you back to the past, highlight the struggles and triumphs of our community, and share our personal stories about preserving Chinatown. If you are the kind of person who wants to learn about and see the real community, then come see Chinatown the way our residents do, and join us on a tour through the many alleyways of Chinatown!
